Before any build: name the workflow that leaks time or revenue, who owns it today, and what “better” means in a number your team already tracks.
List systems of record, languages, approval paths, and failure modes. If you cannot describe Tuesday-at-volume, you are not ready to paint features.
Bring this checklist to a ScaleMorph call and we will turn it into a first-build recommendation and scoped plan.
01 / Describe the bottleneck
Bring a real example of the work, including the parts that did not go smoothly. A busy operating day usually tells us more than a list of desired features.
- Which workflow loses time or revenue?
- Who owns it today, and who is waiting on the result?
- What changes when volume increases or the usual person is away?
02 / Map the systems and handoffs
List the tools involved and identify where each record belongs. Note the places people copy data, wait for approval, or investigate a mismatch.
- Which tool is the source of truth for each record?
- Which integrations, languages, and permissions are involved?
- What happens when an integration or handoff fails?
03 / Define the first useful release
Choose a change operators can put into use and a measure they already understand. Keep the release small enough to learn from without removing the context that makes it useful.
- What would a useful first release change?
- Which existing metric would show that it worked?
- Who will operate, maintain, and own the system after launch?
Bring the answers to the conversation
The downloadable worksheet leaves space for your notes. Add a workflow example, the tools involved, and any fixed timing or ownership constraints. If an answer is unknown, mark it as a question for discovery rather than guessing.
